I’m David, a computational designer and researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, where I explore the intersections of architecture, immersive media, and emerging technologies.
My fascination with generative design and real-time interactivity began during my undergraduate years at Rice University, where I studied architecture and spent a semester in Paris, broadening my perspective on global design cultures.
Today, my work often involves blending digital and physical environments—experimenting with tools like Grasshopper, Python, and AR platforms to create responsive spaces and interactive installations. When I’m not delving into computational workflows or tinkering with new design methods, I love roaming city streets with my camera, capturing everyday moments that reveal how people shape (and are shaped by) their surroundings. Currently, I call Pittsburgh home, where I live with my wife and our two cats.
